Mapping the structures providing public services
Offering services requires infrastructure on the ground. As part of the Uganda Equity Atlas, MOFPED and UNICEF have centralized information regarding key infrastructure locations, from health facilities to markets and police stations. This post provides an overview of the facilities as well as district-level statistics and a deep dive to better understand coverage on specific locations. # Facility coverage While the available data does not enable precise estimation of coverage based on distance, an approximation is derived by dividing the number of facilities in an area by the local population.
